Terms
The terms Wardnox is offered under.
Plain versions of the things that usually hide in small print: what you may use Wardnox for, what it does and does not promise, how billing works, and how either of us can walk away.

Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and Wardnox. They apply once you do any of three things: sign in to the dashboard, add the bot to a Discord server, or buy a subscription. If you are doing any of that on behalf of an organisation, you are confirming you may agree on its behalf.
You also remain bound by Discord’s own terms. Nothing here overrides them, and we cannot grant you anything Discord does not.
What Wardnox is, and what it is not
Wardnox reads messages in the servers it is added to, scores them against rules an administrator configures, and takes the action that administrator chose. It applies your policy faster than a person can. It is not a substitute for human moderation.
It will be wrong sometimes, in both directions. Scams are written by people actively trying to get past exactly this kind of software, so some will get through. And any detector precise enough to catch them will occasionally stop an ordinary message. Every decision records the reason it was made, and enforcement is yours to configure, precisely so you can see both kinds of mistake and adjust.
We do not promise that Wardnox will detect every scam, prevent every attack, or keep your server safe. What we offer is a tool that does what you configure it to do, and tells you why it did it. Deciding whether that needs a human alongside it is yours.
What you may not use it for
- Breaking the law, or helping anybody else do so.
- Violating somebody else’s rights.
- Monitoring people unlawfully. You may not use Wardnox in breach of privacy, communications or data-protection law. Providing notices, and where required obtaining consent or establishing another lawful basis for the processing you switch on, is yours to do. And telling people is not automatically the same as being allowed to.
- Attacking the service: probing it for weaknesses, working around rate limits, or trying to reach another customer’s data.
- Reverse-engineering it, except where the law says you may regardless of what we write here.
- Reselling access or presenting Wardnox as your own product, without written permission.
Your configuration, and your members
The rules, thresholds, enabled modules, enforcement settings and retention windows in your server are yours. You decide whether a message is deleted and whether a member is banned; Wardnox carries that out. When those decisions affect the people in your server, they are yours to answer for, including any appeal or review you offer them.
Our privacy policy explains how Wardnox processes personal data, including where we decide the purpose ourselves and where we are acting on your configuration, and which other companies are involved.
Where we process personal data on your behalf rather than our own, the section “Processing data on your behalf” below applies. There is nothing to sign; it forms part of these terms.
Plans and billing
Wardnox currently offers a free plan as well as paid plans. What each includes, what the usage limits are, and what they cost is on the pricing page. We describe the free plan as it is today rather than promising it will never change; if it does change materially, that is covered under changes below.
- Paid subscriptions are billed in advance, at the frequency shown at checkout.
- They renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Moving to the free plan keeps detection and enforcement working and switches off the paid features.
- Taxes are handled as shown at checkout.
- If we change the price of an existing subscription, you will be told before it takes effect and can cancel.
If you are a consumer
You may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days. Asking us to start a paid service during that period can affect how much is refundable where the law permits and where the required consent has been given. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.
To withdraw, or to ask about a refund, write to [email protected]. We would rather sort it out than stand behind a clause.
Rights that apply when a digital service does not match what was promised also remain unaffected. Depending on where you live, those may include having it put right, a reduction in price, or ending the contract.
Availability
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, and we offer no uptime guarantee. It depends on Discord, on the providers that run our infrastructure and databases, on the optional AI provider, on networking between all of them, and on our own software. Any of those can fail.
If Wardnox is disconnected or unavailable, its protection and automated actions do not operate during that period. Messages sent while it is disconnected are not scanned, and are not scanned retrospectively when it returns. If that matters to you, keep other moderation in place alongside it.
Ending it
You can remove the bot from your server at any time, and cancel from the dashboard at any time. Doing so is enough; you do not have to tell us why.
We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, is being used to harm somebody, threatens the security of the service, is being used fraudulently, has not been paid for, or where the law requires us to act. Where it is not urgent we will say so first and give you a chance to put it right. If we end a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we refund the unused part of the period.
What happens to your data afterwards is set out in the privacy policy, including which records we keep and why.
Who owns what
Wardnox belongs to us: the software, this website, the dashboard, the branding, the designs, the documentation and the detection engine behind it. While your account is active you have a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for what it is for.
We do not claim ownership of anything of yours. Not your server’s content, not your members’ messages, not the rules or documents you upload, not your name or logo. We use them only as far as running the service requires: storing your configuration, scanning what you have asked us to scan, answering from documentation you gave us.
If you send us a suggestion, we may act on it without owing you anything for it. That covers ideas about the product, not anything confidential you send us.
Processing data on your behalf
When Wardnox handles data from inside your Discord server, you decide what happens and we act on it. This section is the written terms for that. There is nothing to sign and nothing to negotiate.
- What we process, and why. Discord messages, identifiers and moderation records, for the purpose of running the features you have enabled, for as long as your account is active.
- Whose data. Members of your server, your moderators, and whoever signs in to the dashboard for you.
- On your instructions. Your configuration is the instruction. We do not use your server’s data for our own purposes, and we do not sell it.
- Confidentiality. Access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service.
- Security. The measures we actually take are described in the privacy policy. We claim no certification we do not hold.
- Other companies. The ones involved are named in the privacy policy, which changes when they do. Some process data outside the European Economic Area.
- Requests from your members. If someone asks us directly about data from your server, we will point them to you and help you answer.
- If something goes wrong. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you without undue delay and with what we know.
- Deletion. Ask and we will delete your server’s data. Retention settings in the dashboard cover the routine case.
Liability
If you are using Wardnox for a business, then as far as the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost revenue, profits, goodwill, members, opportunities or reputation; we do not guarantee that every malicious message will be detected or that a legitimate one will never be affected; and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
If you are a consumer, none of that displaces rights you have by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including for fraud, for deliberate wrongdoing, and for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes to Wardnox
The service will change. We update it for security, to meet legal requirements, to keep up with Discord and its API, for technical and performance reasons, to prevent abuse, and to make it better. Security and legal changes sometimes have to happen immediately.
If a change materially reduces what a paid plan does, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel.
Changes to these terms
These will change as the product does. Anything material will be said before it takes effect, with the date it applies from, and will not reach backwards to undo rights you already had. Mandatory consumer rights are unaffected either way. If you do not want to accept a change, cancel. That is what the door is for.
Getting in touch
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms deprives you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in, or of your right to bring a claim there.
